Community Service Student Award - Lookouts game

Tim is currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix and will be graduating this December with his Masters in Business.  Besides being so proud of him and his incredibly high GPA while working full time and being an awesome father, he had to one up all of that! He was awarded the community service student of the year award.  Tim has a big soft heart for volunteering.  One of the many reasons I love him.  He isn't loud about it. He doesn't tell everyone everything he does.  He just does it.  He just shows up where he is needed and helps.  He has lead a couple of teams in tornado cleanup both times our area has been devastated by storms, within a year of each other.  He does alot of coordinating and volunteering at his place of work, including food drives and many other programs.  And he helps me alot with my work with March of Dimes.

Along with the award, he was informed that he was going to throw out the first pitch at the Chattanooga Lookouts game.

We got the family all loaded up, and dressed the part of the cutest little baseball fans ever! Of course we had to do a little photo shoot.

At the ball fields, University of Phoenix had a reception and served food and drinks.  It was such great hospitality, and they were generous enough to let all of my family join us.

Tim was nervous as can be about throwing out the first pitch. His secret desire to become a professional baseball player had a small window of opportunity open up!
So, how did he do? Dirt.  Yup, his ball ate dirt.  Not only that, but the kid after him threw a perfect pitch!  But I bet that kid didn't win such a prestigious award.  So take that kid!

We headed back to the reception area where they presented Tim with his award.  We were all so proud of him!

We watched the rest of the game from the reception area. Well, more like chased kids and sneeked a peek of the game.

Was a great end of the summer event, and a nice way to spend some time with friends and family.  we LOVE the Chattanooga Lookouts!!!
